32mm barbed pipe fittings are only to be used with LDPE pipe that has an outside diameter of 32mm. The fittings is 6 bar rated and can be used on or just below the surface installation. The reason for this is because LDPE pipe can be damaged by sharp stones etc as the ground compresses. With deep installations you could have a leak and not spot it. On the surface on near the surface can be quickly seen if the pipe should be damaged.
