Eindor fittings are quite unique. There are several parts to Eindor fittings and initially this can be quite confusing however when explained it is an easy and obvious product choice.
The Barbed end
There are two types of barbed end on an Eindor fitting and both are often used. The slimmer barbed end ( and normally longer in length) is inserted inside a 6 mm flexible pipe. The fatter barbed fittings ( which is normally shorter and has just 1 barb ) is normally inserted in to an LDPE pipe. LDPE pipe. A small 3mm hole is punched in to the LDPE pipe and then the barbed end is inserted in to this hole. This can be quite stiff as once inserted the barb has a pressure rating of 6bar.
The Eindor End
The Eindor part that has been inserted in to the LDPE pipe has a wider Eindor end. This is called a female Eindor. The part that has been inserted in to the 6mm pipe has a smaller Eindor end. This is called the male end. We can now push the male end in to the female Eindor. The Eindor ends are held together via friction and again these are now 6 bar rated.
The reason Eindor fittings are so adaptable is because we can plug in and plug out if ever we want without damaging either the 6mm flexible pipe or the LDPE supply pipe. With a simple plug the area is isolated
