Many of you will have visited us at our old warehouse in Finchamstead and selected and purchased products while at the warehouse. As you are probably aware this unit is being demolished to make room for a new primary school.
Our new warehouse is based on a working working livestock farm. The farm is busy with a lot of farm activity. The farm has many restrictions in place for all tennants and one of the restrictions is that we are not allowed to have customers arrive to collect without an appointment. The restriction states that customers may arrive and collect their pre prepared order. This is arrive, collect and leave. At no time can customers stay and discuss their requirements while in the yard or in the warehouse. Before the Covid crisis in some cases we pushed the boundaries of this restriction however since the crisis the farm has now reinforced this. They have a three strike policy and as of the 8th September we now have one strike:o(
If you would like to collect your order then please call ahead first and let us know that you are going to collect. If cattle are being moved then we may have to tell you not to come. When you arrive on the farm please do understand that we will load your car or van and say goodbye. We are not being rude just concerned that we may get a second strike which we do not want.
These restrictions are in place for health and safety reasons with many tractor and animal movements daily. The farm is trying to address this issue with a second road which would take all the farm and animal traffic but this is probably at least 6 months away
