Nutlock pipe fittings are suitable to use above ground or in shallow trenches. The fittings use a barb type grip that the pipe will slide over and then the pipe is compressed on to the barb by the Nut that is wedge shaped. Once fitted the fitting is suitable for use with pressures up to 10 bar. LDPE pipe or low density Polyethylene pipe is normally 4 bar rated
